We come to the chronicle of sitting
THE CHRONICLE OF THE ASSEMBLY
Introduced by episcopal vicar for pastoral Mgr. Joseph Busan, in opening the Bishop. Gianni Ambrosio Note summed up his pastoral "Courage is me. Do not be afraid ", a document that is linked to the pastoral letter last year and introducing the second year of the popular mission diocese.
NOTE THE MINISTRY OF THE BISHOP. Should proceed - said the bishop - with an eye to Christ, but at the same time the man in the light of the Spirit. "We accepted the invitation of the Lord Jesus and confided in him: so we took off. The first steps, in truth, - writes Msgr. Ambrosio, referring to the top of the popular Mission - - were rather uncertain, almost fearful. However, despite the difficulties, are now safer. We recognize that we did together a nice stretch of road. (...) long way still to go, but the broader mission of our deep breath and allow the community to enlarge the area to experience the joy of faith to sustain us in hope, live charity.
"The missionary awareness helps our church to be more fraternal: we can support each other, accept diversity, to cultivate the shared communion in prayer and friendship. "
The central part of the Note is devoted to a large quotation from the Gospel text that is obviously a reference for the entire document, and elaborate on the three areas subject to specific documents: the live reports, the fragility and citizenship.
So the conclusion: "I want to draw at the conclusion of these discussions, two gestures that accompany the journey of our Church in this second year of the Diocesan Mission to the People: the first, as witnessed in festa del Battesimo di Gesù con la consegna del Pater ai delegati delle Unità Pastorali; il secondo, che sarà compiuto dai parroci e dagli animatori della Missione, con la consegna del Libro delle benedizioni a tutte le famiglie e ai diversi componenti della comunità cristiana.
Il Libro delle benedizioni – I hope you can reach all families - encourage the practice of reading appreciative of life and lead us to share with our brothers the hymn of thanksgiving to the Father for what he always gives us.
"In line with the prayer" Our Father "that was delivered, I still recall a passage from the Gospel according to Matthew that can help us live the People's Mission. Here is the text:
"Jesus entered the temple and drove out all who sold and bought in the temple, he overturned the tables of money changers and the benches of those selling doves, and said:" It is written: My house shall be called a house of prayer. But you do it a den of thieves ". Approached him in the temple, the blind and lame, and he healed them. But the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things he had done and the children crying in the temple, "Hosanna to the Son of David!" They were indignant, and said, "Do you hear what they say?". Jesus replied, 'Yes! Have you never read: From the mouth of children and infants you have drawn praise for you? ". He left them and went out of the city to Bethany, and there spent the night "(Mt 21.12-17).
"Next to the temple to be purified and hospitable house of prayer, there is a need for another house. But you have to get out of the city "Jesus came out of the city to Bethany, and spent the night there." We can say that Bethany is the home of friendship, close relations that warm the heart and encourage the rest from the fatigue of the journey. This home allows us to experience the mutual acceptance and the fragility of living, and prevents you from being overwhelmed by fear of life experienced during the crossing when the waves rock the boat.
"Let us not forget that the Christian message of the first century it spread through homes similar to that of Bethany, by meeting people in community areas motivated by friendship, by that brotherly love, sharing the Word and prayer. These are called domus ecclesiae, home assembly or house church. The Acts of the Apostles and the Letters of St. Paul offer a valuable record of these spaces and church family in which both shared the experience of faith in Christ is life's experiences in the fraternal relationship, through dialogue, reflection, prayer . The domus ecclesiae of the first Christians held together three tables, the bread of the Word, the bread of the Eucharist, the bread of friendship and charity. But the three loaves are but one loaf: Christ gives himself to us to be "the Way, the Truth and the Life" (Jn 14, 6). On these house churches are inaugurated a new way of being human and being human society, feeling that all brothers free because children of one Father and full members of the same family called the Church of God. It was inaugurated in this way, a new style of family life, social and moral, a new life based on " faith in God with a human face" , that once welcomed and accepted, brought "joy to the world " (Benedict XVI, Address to the Congress of Verona in Hope for Italy )
"But, beyond the experience of the domus ecclesiae the past, in part related to the difficulty of public expression of Christian faith, today's situation - with the anonymity of mass and the fragmentation of life, with the exaggerated individualism - invokes the return of small community spaces in homes, families, neighborhoods, blocks of flats where people live: it is right there can share God's Word and life experiences. These small communities, such as house churches can be like the yeast that leavens the whole lump (cf. 1 Cor 5:6) and make a turn to the pastoral mission of our Church of Piacenza-Bobbio (...)".
THREE GRANTS. We have already mentioned that in the second year of the popular Mission Diocesan identified three areas to see and experience the Christian life on the indications given by the Bishop. These three documents were presented in the order by Don Paul Walker (relationships and emotions), by Don Gigi Bavagnoli (Fragility) and Enrico Corti (citizenship).
on these three texts the Assembly, divided into working groups, made practical suggestions: we need from domestic relations, the first stage of the analysis must take the start from the Parish Pastoral Councils and pastoral unit, pay attention to the environment in which there is another, from the blessing of family, commitment continues to rediscover the reality of things, organizing a big event only if it is the conclusion of a journey, take the Church's social doctrine with renewed attention to the world of work, promote the comparison between Christians involved in politics ... These are some indications emerged from the work group whose synthesis was coordinated by Pierre Triani, secretary of the Pastoral Council.
THE OPINION OF THE BISHOP. In closing Mgr. Ambrosio said that the tools presented in the Assembly, though not exhaustive of the many problems of today, are useful to build the community's commitment to Piacenza, and right next to the tools, however, is necessary to have a vision that must be prophetic and attentive to everyday life and history within which we move. Finally, the people: in this regard the Bishop had words of thanks for all operators starting from the staff of the Office for the Pastoral Care.
Bishop Ambrosio had previously expressed his gratitude, before the assembly, including Msgr. Lino Ferrari and Msgr. Joseph Illica for new assignments in which they are called.
The Bishop also stressed the role of the laity, but the theme was announced to come back tomorrow, Sunday, Feb. 20, the day when the diocesan Catholic Action held its elective assembly (Bishop Ambrosio will preside at the Mass in the cathedral 12:15).
