What Will Happen To Sun

Via Arata, respite for Lent?

You can finally breathe a sigh of relief on the issue of street Arata? The decision of the parish priest, Father Giancarlo Conte, to abandon the project to equip the green area, comes as a breath of fresh air in a rarefied atmosphere where the air is cut with a knife. The boomerang effect of the case against the church was likely to bring more harm than good that would aggregate area for young people and dedicated to the festivities. It 'the only thing that is positive in this matter.

The rest have all truly lost.

1) The City. Once again we are talking here of a lack of communication! They also allowed those on the administration first phase of the project. You could make a public meeting or pass through the district that there is at least to be informed. Nothing. The project has written for the first time Liberta 'when municipal concession was already active: that after January 5 this year. With all the money it spends the City of Piacenza, invest once and for all on an office communication and participation and then give him a straight!

2) The parish of St. Joseph the Worker
There are participatory bodies within the Church, see the parish pastoral council and parish council statement. Use it! We can not forget them when there are 168 000 € to spend! Only in this way the decision of this parish can be truly owned and shared.

3) The committee via Arata
Blame a priest from '71 to now has brought up generations of Piacentini around the bell tower of Galleana hanging banners from the balconies against the parish, attack and tone over the top against a project that teaches children to play and citizens of tomorrow, all this, even if you are right, if you are 'Catholics or just citizens of today should not have been easy. And yet 'state. There are various ways to protest and to defend their rights. There are complaints in the first place, then the lawsuits. The demonstrations and the machine in action against the priest are mud to take things to the exorcist. In Lent, then ...

1 Billeach Pay Invitation Birthday Wording

had become a bishop, a priest will Castelsangiovanni

Don Lino Ferrari then leaves his office by the vicar general and is preparing to hold a parish priest Castelsangiovanni. Many have celebrated in the Hall of Columns of the Curia, after the farewell Mass in the crypt of the cathedral. Sign of a great affection for the priest could safely be chosen as bishop of a diocese. There was talk of Pontremoli but it did nothing then. Prior to that, once dropped by Bedonia and arrived in Our Lady of Lourdes, some say that she turned down an appointment as bishop. His former parishioners still would willing to put his hand on fire. He never confirmed.

"It closes a chapter in my life. There are moments in some respects laborious, others beautiful, because you go through the faces and events. I can say I have found in these seven years friendship and cooperation. " So Archbishop Lino Ferrari celebrated its last Mass yesterday morning by the vicar general of the diocese of Piacenza-Bobbio. Among the columns of the crypt of the cathedral, chosen as the site of the farewell Mass, many friends, staff from the offices of the Curia in the head. To celebrate together as many as 14 priests, most of the directors of diocesan offices. Monsignor Ferrari gets excited: "I did not expect so many people." Then begins the sermon as a sign of gratitude. "Saying thanks - noted - is to recognize that it has received so much, it makes it more positive, even in relation to other, less full of claims, able to recognize the good in every one of us." "Even Jesus showed this attitude - he continues - first of all to the Father: Father says thank you to the first to leave himself a gift to his disciples, who offered his life is his greatest thanks." "Jesus also appreciated the thanks of the leper healed - he continues - that alone has felt the need to thank. Why is a requirement in relation to God and others. Gratitude is good. "
Passes in rapid review the seven years just ended. "I do not gate the problems that we have been well - admits -. But I can say that my desire has always been to help create a peaceful atmosphere. I've always said that the work I'm not afraid, are weighing the tensions, the tensions are due at times, closing and lack of communication. Furthermore, the efficiency is not the only criterion of organization in any field, even for a company, as the Pope's encyclical Caritas in Veritate . Are not we as Christians to witness the attitude of the gift of friendship and mutual acceptance and must permeate all activities ... "
'offices Curia and other related - also sought to emphasize - are employees of the Church's mission. All represent the face of our Church, and indeed for many we are the face of the Church as such, because it is through us that the encounter, the Church, which is communion and that has charity as the basic law. "
"Ours is a service innannzi all to the Lord and the Church - insists Don Lino -. He also used a different taste, fatigue, when the underlying attitude is this. We must be able to give commitments to children every day a vast horizon. " Finally, the prayer for his successor, Monsignor Joseph Illica and his new pastoral assignment, to Castelsangiovanni pastor.
At the end of the celebration to honor the staff of the Archbishop Curia Ferrari in the hall of columns. Don Lino will move into its new church Sunday, April 3, accompanied by Bishop Gianni Ambrosio. Next Monday, at 12 and 30, will be the turn of Don Illica to make his official entrance in the Diocese of Piacenza-Bobbio.

near and far / Monari: The community takes responsibility for immigrants

New episode of near and far. The letter from the Bishop of Brescia, Luciano Monari, former bishop of the diocese of Piacenza-Bobbio and now an honorary citizen of Piacenza, was written when he was still the case in Libya would explode. Today we offer because we believe that more today.

foreigners, guests, fellow citizens. The path that the Bishop of Brescia, Bishop Luciano Monari, indicates in his letter to the Christian community takes the signs of Ephesians: "So then you are no longer strangers and sojourners, but you are saints and family of God."
Published on the occasion of the patron saints of the city, Faustino and Jupiter, which is reminiscent of February 15, the letter analyzes the phenomenon of migration wondering what the attitude of dioceses, parishes, church groups and Catholics involved in politics. The latter, the bishop said, should "avoid and prevent any form of discrimination." "With this term," specific, "I refer to oppressive measures that transform the rights choices complacency that use bureaucratic delays to sfiancare people and forcing the resignation or renunciation, using two weights and two measures depending on the nationality or skin color. It is not permissible for a Christian to take advantage of the weakened state of the contractor immigrant to impose unfair contracts (of course I think the lease contracts or employment. "
But before turning to the political community and civil Bishop turns to the Christian , wrote Monsignor Luciano Monari, "is called to accept the baptized believers wherever they come from: they are full members of our own community." Against those who believe "we must work actively to provide a warm and we want people who take the initiative to reach out to newcomers, to involve them, introduce them gradually in different places and different initiatives parish. "
"We can not let immigrants," the bishop added, "all the trouble to get into the community should also be a community that takes care of it explicitly." If an immigrant feels accepted, will integrate even more easily, as suggested by the letter indicating moments of welcome parties, groups of hearing the word of God, devotion to Mary. A similar argument can be made even for Orthodox Christians, Protestants or evangelicals. Although, as regards participation in the sacraments, the bishop recommends taking everything clearly and without ambiguity according to the regulations of the various documents of the Holy See and the recent handbook published by the CEI "for the pastoral care of parishes to the Catholic Eastern non-Catholic '. Monsignor
Monari not forget even the complexity and issues with movements, sects and religious communities from Africa and Latin America that seek "to the satisfaction of a psychological need subjective "and warns of" danger that these movements represent the faith. " So I ask that you do not offer rooms for parish psychological practices that border on religious.
Other routes, however, requires dialogue with believers of other religions, particularly Muslims and Buddhists. Can not stay out of them, says the bishop. Without confusing religions in a mixture to be indistinct, however, stressed that "all religions claim to know and some aspects of God and true man, and can support the growth of human coexistence and mutual respect. It is our duty to all the love that accepts the existence of the other cordially. " It recommends encouraging the presence of children and young people of other religions in the life of speakers. So as to facilitate opportunities for dialogue and celebration, linking some suspects and fears that melting instinctive and do overcome isolation and fear. "We can lead people to believe in God just by loving practice with sincere love and generous, with a way of life that is friendly and fraternal."
is not merely doing good, but to try, even all those policy and legislative solutions that will improve the quality of one's existence and the civil community as a whole. That is especially the Catholics involved in politics should ensure the reception of refugees fleeing conditions of injustice and oppression, noting that the goods of the earth belong to everyone and must serve for the sustenance of all. Should ensure that those who work with us and contributes to our welfare, "see his work recognized and to be put in order." Also, for those already settled, should strive to change the rule that will automatically lose your residence permit immigrants who lose their jobs. "The logic of this rule appears to be entirely selfish," the bishop writes, "As long as I need you I hold you and make use of the wealth they produce, but just your presence will serve stops hunting '. It should still take care of the problem of children born to foreign parents who belong as citizens in a country in which we do not know the language, traditions, culture and customs, while they may not belong to the Italian one where they live, attend school, live; "Children are, from the cultural point of view, Italian, 'says Monari. So how should encourage family reconciliation and inclusion education of foreign children.

Respect for the dignity of the other should guide the choices of Catholics, the bishop concludes, convinced that "discrimination may seem like a convenient choice if one considers only the economic profit, but in fact it is behavior that uses the other as if it were one thing and ends - a kind of boomerang-effect - to corrode the soul of the person who does. How To Get Dog Hair Off A North Face Jacket

The swearing in of the new vicar

The adventure begins from the vicar general of the diocese of Piacenza-Bobbio for Don Giuseppe Illica. Friday, as we report in below, he swore before the bishop. Appointment in the chapel with Bishop arrived a few minutes late and that made someone smile. Well, if not we make another, joked a monsignor. Then when Don Illica arrived and began, almost sotto voce, to read the oath ... to those who know him well had the shakes with emotion. Even in those few words written by others, he felt like a man who really believes it. In the word of God and universal Magisterium of the Church.

"I, Joseph Illica priest, on assuming the office of vicar general, I promise to always preserve communion with the Catholic Church, both in my words is the way I act." Since yesterday morning, the now former Castelsangiovanni pastor, Monsignor Joseph Illica, is officially the new vicar general of the diocese of Piacenza-Bobbio. In the chapel of the episcopal palace was sworn in front of the Bishop John Ambrosio, the chancellor of the Curia Don Mario Poggi and directors of uffici diocesani.
Bisognerà attendere fino on Monday, March 14, when, at 0:30 in the Tapestry Hall of the Bishop's palace, will meet for a farewell, the courtly and all those who work in the various diocesan offices. The following Sunday, March 20, finally greet the parishioners of Castelsangiovanni.
Almost simultaneously advance the opposite direction of Archbishop Lino Ferrari, the now former vicar general. Monday, March 7, at 11:15 in the crypt of the Cathedral, will hold a farewell mass. Immediately after the curia and greet staff. Sunday, April 3 will make his solemn entry, accompanied by Bishop Gianni Ambrosio, as pastor of Castelsangiovanni.

How Many Days Do Menstruation Delayed

new speakers before an educational project

was held this morning, Thursday, March 3, the penultimate session of the tenth diocesan council of priests who spoke about the popular Mission diocesan training for the clergy and standards for new speakers. Being due (this advisory body, also known as "Bishop of the Senate, is five years and will return to meet again on May 5) gave directions for its renewal (before May 5 should be shown already that seven representatives of the vicariates be joined by five members to be elected in June on the day of the Sacred Heart) and has taken leave of the vicar general Msgr. Lino Ferrari. As he himself stated, by March 14 will leave office next to the elected Vicar General Msgr. Joseph Illica April 3 and move to enter into his new parish of Castel San Giovanni.

this morning's session was presided over by Bishop. Gianni Ambrosio and was coordinated by Don Federico Tagliaferri.

At the opening there were the usual notices of the life of the diocese vicar general Msgr. Ferrari at the end Msgr. Joseph Busan, episcopal vicar for pastoral care, has updated the priests on the popular Mission, referring especially to the last session of the Diocesan Pastoral Council. On that occasion Bishop.

Dopo pointing out that the training of the priest is indispensable, that is not isolated from his ministry, but is related to the same ministry, Msgr. Ambrosio then cited some papal documents.

The training of the clergy is an issue that is very dear to the Bishop, this has involved the council of priests because all you need to find some good practical suggestions to help us find ways and means supporting the implementation of this very the duty of every priest. "

Bishop Ambrosio asked some questions: what care is in place today for the training of priests in our church? what could be done to revitalize training? seen that our diocese is huge - it is very difficult to meet - you can think of some `half 'to overcome this (and other) problems: two / three / four days with some residential areas to be explored, connection via the Internet where possible, etc..)?

"The opportunities available to us - said the Bishop - are: the virtual withdrawal per month (which involved a good number of priests, including that held in the vicarage, the duration of the withdrawal is restricted to about two hours more - and it's a good thing - the fraternal agape); training sessions provided (about three a year, with a report and the ensuing debate): the participation is more limited, the duration is two hours (plus lunch); spiritual exercises (tiny): last year were held in Bedonia and Bellotto ( I hope we can continue this year), the Feast of the Sacred Heart, and the feast of St. Vincent and the Conference pastoral the celebration of the sacrament of reconciliation. "

Bishop Ambrose acknowledged that training opportunities are many in the diocese and its analysis also referred to the role of the documents of the Magisterium appropriate tool for the training of clergy and in particular has called three: "The post-synodal Apostolic Exhortation Verbum Domini, dated September 30, 2010 but later released on November 11, the National Eucharistic Congress to be held in Ancona in early September, the pastoral guidelines to educate the good life of the Gospel. It is the pastoral program of the Italian Church in this decade. "

on this indicator of the bishop, of course, expressed in a much more structured and documented, has developed an extensive debate whose contributions have stressed how important it is that, along with diocesan moments, are also those treated vicarage.

E 'was the turn of the criteria for the realization of new speakers: the council of priests had already been affected by this problem and asked for an additional discussion of the relationship between oratory as tree physical, educational and educators. These two aspects of the problem have been recalled by Fr Joseph Lusignan, director of cultural heritage and therefore responsible for funding and building design, and Don Paul Cignatta, director for youth ministry, and then involved in the activity of speakers. Both have drawn the main terms of the problem: the funding is to avoid interventions to rain and the whole issue, both for their contributions to those institutions as Cei private or outside the diocese, must pass through a single vision of the diocese. As noted by Don Paul Cignatta (the problem was also mentioned by Msgr. Ferrari) a draft of an oratory has always equate both the construction of both the educational (for many the latter takes precedence). In the debate showed that, beside the oratory, the structure used for the training of adults in the faith, must be kept in mind the need of classrooms for catechism (and this also calls into question the medium-sized parishes).

After the Council unanimously agreed that, in calling for the creation a new oratorio, the draft of a new building is always complemented by that of education, was also requested relevant offices to see if there is the possibility of allocating part of the funds also to the construction of eight per thousand of those speakers who have particular need for catechism, and then also cover the parishes of limited size.

The pastor behind bars

A Piacenza today it's justice minister, Angelino Alfano, for the first stone of the new wing of the prison. We publish, for the occasion, the budget of the chaplain, Father Adam Affri, published in Freedom on Saturday. Don Adam is a young priest, a robe in the trenches. Wind, storms, cold does not make him afraid. In a year of ministry has succeeded in creating a real church behind bars.

E 'especially after the prison-to worry. The lack of work and solitude, first of all. That's why behind the bars there are also people who do not want to quit.
"A few months ago I visited a young man who had been under house arrest - said Don Adam Affri -. crying. "Out of what we do, I have none - I said - I had friends in prison". "
Affri Don, 41, is chaplain of Novate since January 2010. "I became a priest in 2009-tells - I knew that there was a need in prison and I asked the bishop to go. " Monsignor Ambrose has been given the green light. Not only that. The shortage of young priests, has decided to leave full-time in the service of prison, because behind bars, would create a real church. After a year
Don Affri can pull the first budget. The problems are many and are
. "In the cell are many, should wash with cold water when the boiler is broken, sometimes the food is not acceptable," said the chaplain. "In the story talks about my experiences in Congo and Ukraine as a young lay missionary - he continues - and I realize that in reality the fact that in many and have no hot water is not the fundamental problem. Nobody has ever committed suicide because of this. Who commits suicide because it is only the
ago. Don
Affri celebrates 5 made between Saturday and Sunday in five different sections of the prison, he catechism during the week and every day countless personal interviews. "I saw these people grow in terms of faith in God in so many parishes over the bars such participation does not see," she says.
60 percent of the prison population consists of foreigners from Piacenza with a strong Muslim majority. Novate converge in the Catholic parish of about 150 people of Catholic faith: "The others are left out because you can not oblige. Sometimes they come to the talks, sometimes you want a small contribution
to call home. " These are more than 250 other people, because prison breaks today. "We are more than 400 with the services set for just over half - highlights -. Forget for a moment, cold and overcrowding. Many times the inmates vent and comes out in speeches, even during the hours of catechism. The illness is strong but if you compare with the situations of other countries understand that this is not so obvious, to say , have hot water. " "Their deepest wound - is arciconvinto Affri don - is, however, when the other side seems to be absent the dilaogo and respect. They want to be treated as people. The direction is as it may, however, there being so many inmates and so little staff (instructors are two instead of five), it is clear that dialogue is thinned out and all this causes suffering. "
"Let us remember that when these people come into prison, the risk is that you feel more part of society - more - you are deconstructed in front of people has always been used ever since. The only thing that remains are the feelings and faith. My job is to help recover the sense of guilt, to find a way out, which is that of faith and being with Jesus that has to be choice is not an emotional moment. In prison there is great hope, we try to cultivate it. " The city is in this: there are volunteers, schools, parishes, the newspaper Forced Stop, Don Adam is also taking the recreational and fielded in September for a singing competition (a sort of bullfighting). On the labor front, there are some social cooperatives that employ prisoners. "But when it ceases to remain their status alone - highlights Don Affri -. We're trying to build a bridge between reality and the city jail by giving a human face to Novate. I'd like that even from the government and society there was a desire to treat the detainees as persone, più che i loro problemi.

What Is Girth Toilet Roll

heart of gold for the Archbishop Lanfranchi

Dopo 35 anni di medici, chirurghi, professori e Scientists for the first time the Golden Heart Award goes to a bishop. The scientific committee of the Golden Heart of Piacenza and the Friends of the Combines have decided to award the 2011 in recognition of Bishop Antonio Lanfranchi, archbishop of Modena-Nonantola-Abbot, a native of Grondona, Upper Valnure. To make the announcement last night in the festive frame of Olimpia Niviano, Giuseppino Molinari, general manager of the University of Pavia, who has replaced Professor Mario Viganò. The famous surgeon at the last minute had to forfeit for professional reasons.
Under the watchful eye of the owner of the Harvester, Antonio Marchini, Molinari brings greetings from the Rector of Pavia Angie Stella, and Professor Viganò and explains why the choice of Lanfranchi. "The Heart of Gold was created to reward - Notes - renowned doctors and scientists who have honored the development of medicine, but the man is not only the physical body and is also the heart and mind. The choice of Archbishop Lanfranchi is a bit 'a message that the association wants to give Piacenza: choose a priest who has worked hard, first at Piacenza in other dioceses now is a desire to defend and promote the true values \u200b\u200band strong at a time when the crisis permeates every stratum of our society. " Archbishop Lanfranchi will be awarded next October during the now historic meeting under the tent Mortizza. "I was have come here many years ago - remember the bishop - even though I have always called each year. Unfortunately, the commitments I have only now allowed to return. Moments like this are important to cultivate friendships and the good and sincere ideals that revolve around this association. I always feel these people Piacenza and binds me a great affection. "
In the room there are a hundred friends invited by the Combine, including the provincial commander of the Force, Colonel Paul Rota Gelpi, and the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture of the Catholic, Lorenzo Morelli. But mayors, councilors, farmers, businessmen, judges. Free Washer will then be rewarded for his work as director general of the Catholic University of Piacenza up last year when he reached the well-deserved retirement.
But the evening is also an opportunity for the handover of Anthony Marchini (78 years), to vice presidents Edmund Roda (39 years, entrepreneur) and Renzo Ruggerini (80 years, primary current and retired vice chairman of the Public Service Cross White). This was announced at the beginning of the evening in his official speech. In what follows, there will also be offices, accompanied by jokes and jokes not quite as archbishop, it is in the repertoire of Marchini. The archbishop there, the game is, blushes and smiles. On the other hand is Marchini Marchini. The owner cites the opening address at the Dinner of the combine, held by Pierre Jacopini 35 years ago in Castione of Pontedellolio; notes that much time has passed and that it is time to put aside. "Make way for young people - he says - I hope that will come forward to keep up the name of this organization for at least another 35 years. I do not retire at once and I'll always be president until 2012, until my health allows, I will always be available to help. Marchini also caters to institutions Piacenza: "Continue to support us, even in these difficult times for everyone, because the heart of gold and the Supper of the combine, together with the farmers' party in February, with the blessing of wheeled May 1 to Mortizza , the sleepless night the first Saturday in August came in right in the tradition of the agricultural Piacenza. The turning missionary for the Church of Piacenza-Bobbio also depends on the domestic relations. That's why the bishop called John Ambrosio, the last diocesan pastoral council, the return to the Church of the neighborhood, circles of the building or just to family prayer. Under the article summary of the last council.

(fri) from domestic relations, pay attention to the environment in which there is another, take the social doctrine of the Church with renewed attention to the world of work, promote the comparison of the Christians involved in policy. These are some notes that operating the Diocesan Pastoral Council was given yesterday at the Bellotta for the second year of the People's Mission. The assembly formed by diocesan priests, religious and lay associations and ecclesial movements have gathered for the presentation of the Notes to the bishop's pastoral Gianni Ambrosio "Courage I am not afraid, "the document continues the pastoral letter last year, and subsidies for the second year of the Diocesan Mission popular on three areas: relationships, fragility and citizenship. It 'was also distributed the book of blessings, version popular book of the "Our Father" delivered to the pastoral unit.
Introduced by episcopal vicar for pastoral Monsignor Joseph Busan, in opening the Bishop Gianni Ambrosio has summarized his pastoral note. "should proceed - said the bishop - with an eye to Christ, but at the same time the man in the light of the Spirit. The first steps, in truth, - Ambrosio writes referring to the top of the popular Mission - Were quite uncertain, almost fearful. However, despite the difficulties, have become more confident ... There is still a long way to go, but the broader mission of our deep breath and allow communities to expand the space to experience the joy of faith to sustain us in hope, to live charity. "
"The missionary conscience - he continued - helps our church to be more fraternal: we can support each other, accept diversity, to cultivate the shared communion in prayer and friendship." The central part of the Note is devoted to a large quotation from the Gospel, which serves as reference for the entire document, to dwell then on the three areas subject to specific documents: the live reports, the fragility and citizenship. So the conclusion: "I want to draw two gestures in this second year of the Diocesan Mission Popular: first, we lived on the feast of the Baptism of Jesus with the delivery of the Our delegates of pastoral units and the second, which will be done by parish priests and the soul of the mission, with the delivery of the Book of Blessings to all the families and the various components of the Christian community. "
Still, "" The Lord's Prayer, with the invocation "Our Father," Thy kingdom come "and" Deliver us from evil, "allows us to understand and live the desires and needs that emerge from life, with particular reference to the areas of relationships, the fragility and citizenship. "
"If the practice of Christianity in the first year - then observed the prelate - introduced us to a familiar style of praying with the Gospel, the path of the second year we will experience the blessing of the Father proximity to everyday experiences of each person . Our Church is called on a mission to turn every condition in a place of brotherhood. " The Bishop then called for the return of small community spaces in homes, condominiums, neighborhoods, "These small communities, such as house churches can be like the yeast that leavens the whole lump (cf. 1 Cor 5:6) and give a turn to the pastoral mission of our Church of Piacenza-Bobbio.

Can Footbal Visor Fit On A Lacrosse Helmet

The return to the house churches near and far / The Church lead by example and pay the ICI

From today inaugurated "near and far: an observatory on the events that happen in other dioceses, particularly those that somehow have a connection with Piacenza-Bobbio, or for people or for the territories. We start with the proposal to pay the ICI to the Church. It comes from Modena, in a letter to Archbishop Antonio Lanfranchi Piacenza.

Dear Bishop Antonio,
are a group of Christians in the Church of Modena and am appealing to you because it is our shepherd. We know your role and his ministry is just to listen, to comfort, to keep the flock together, that Christian and help lead the people to live in faith, hope and charity. We want to express some of our major concerns, a simple but quite frankly.
We are worried because we see our country slipping deeper into a general crisis, and despair experienced by many with no way out, a crisis that threatens to undermine the unity of the nation, in its institutional aspects, political and social issues. And the despair is not a Christian virtue.
We are shocked because we see the politicians who rule this country sinking deeper more in the moral degradation, into attitude of impunity, in the pursuit of personal gain and their friends in the looting of public affairs and in the systematic destruction of the foundations of civil and democratic.
We are angry because this same political class, the government has misled and continues to deceive the poor with false promises, with liberal use of the media and perverse, with the ostentatious display of patterns of behavior radically contrary to the common sense of our moral people. Gradually they managed to corrupt the hearts and minds of the simplest. Woe to those who scandalize these little ...!
But the biggest concern, as believers, about our church and especially our bishops. Here are the thoughts that make us sick and we show an open heart.
know that the head of the CEI and those of the Vatican curia decided long ago to support the right-wing majority in the government today. It is generally more widespread, even among Catholic believers and practitioners, that this alliance is the result of arrangements of power, seeking privileges for the Church and legitimacy for the government. It is worth compromising the credibility of the Gospel image of the Church for a mess of pottage?
In the name of this agreement are in fact substantial political support, some of the mold typically xenophobic quite contrary not only to the Gospel but also to the social doctrine of the Church. To report this trend, many voices are raised in the Catholic world, always ignored or censored or minimized. Maybe they do not belong to the so-called "non-negotiable principles"?
Even now, when the moral abyss and the lifestyle of the unspeakable prime minister himself is under the eyes of the world, even now the leaders of the CEI are the strength and dignity to utter clear words, to get out of regrets, cover all generic and therefore no one, finally using the language of the Gospel of Yes, yes, no no.
In so many other ways he was treated the last Prodi government, weak but honest and capable of much higher moral profile, which was not only not supported but it was even opposed, perhaps because most free, certainly more secular and less willing to secret agreements. We want to strongly assert this fact: many of us, believing, practicing Catholics, have argued that experience political, sharing hardships and hopes, and also disappointments. Of course we were very hurt stigma then as it hurts the complicity of now.
should we realize that the very basis of the Church is growing discomfort, the dissent, the suffering, the slow and silent surrender. The bitter feeling of many, right or wrong, is that pastors have betrayed their flock, have preferred the soft palaces of Herod the grotto of Bethlehem, have shamefully abandoned the prophecy. And this trust in God, technically, is an atheist behavior.
submitted a small proposal, which may seem provocative, of which she could convey the same: the CEI and the Vatican publicly state to waive the payment of ICI on the properties of the Church are sources of income, who have the courage to say no to this outrageous proposal. Buy a little 'esteem and credibility, because, among many, is a scandal that cries out for vengeance.
Dear Bishop Anthony, pray together because the Spirit help us all to a real conversion, to be able to retrace our steps, to rediscover the size of a poor and disinterested service to spread joy and beauty and hope, freedom and truth.

To all the families of Blessings

met yesterday morning, Feb. 19, at Bellotta the pastoral center of Pontefract, the Diocesan Pastoral Council with an agenda of particular importance: the presentation of the Pastoral Note of the Bishop. Gianni Ambrosio "Courage is I. Do not be afraid", which continues the pastoral letter last year, and subsidies for the second year of the Diocesan Mission popular on three areas: relationships, fragility and citizenship. These are documents of great importance as the first, the Pastoral Note of the Bishop, is the premise of the three theoretical and methodological benefits, more operational setting.

E 'was also presented and distributed the book of blessings, "Benedictus Benedicat - Prayers for blessing and invoke blessing, "the graphic version of the popular book" Our Father "on 9 January, in the cathedral, at the end of the opening ceremony of the second year of the mission was formally handed in to the pastoral unit.

be noted, finally, that the meeting this morning also saw the involvement of popular entertainers of the Diocesan Mission.

To get these documents interested parties should contact the Office for the Pastoral Care of the Bishop's during office hours (refer to Dario Carini).

We come to the chronicle of sitting

THE CHRONICLE OF THE ASSEMBLY

Introduced by episcopal vicar for pastoral Mgr. Joseph Busan, in opening the Bishop. Gianni Ambrosio Note summed up his pastoral "Courage is me. Do not be afraid ", a document that is linked to the pastoral letter last year and introducing the second year of the popular mission diocese.

NOTE THE MINISTRY OF THE BISHOP. Should proceed - said the bishop - with an eye to Christ, but at the same time the man in the light of the Spirit. "We accepted the invitation of the Lord Jesus and confided in him: so we took off. The first steps, in truth, - writes Msgr. Ambrosio, referring to the top of the popular Mission - - were rather uncertain, almost fearful. However, despite the difficulties, are now safer. We recognize that we did together a nice stretch of road. (...) long way still to go, but the broader mission of our deep breath and allow the community to enlarge the area to experience the joy of faith to sustain us in hope, live charity.

"The missionary awareness helps our church to be more fraternal: we can support each other, accept diversity, to cultivate the shared communion in prayer and friendship. "

The central part of the Note is devoted to a large quotation from the Gospel text that is obviously a reference for the entire document, and elaborate on the three areas subject to specific documents: the live reports, the fragility and citizenship.

So the conclusion: "I want to draw at the conclusion of these discussions, two gestures that accompany the journey of our Church in this second year of the Diocesan Mission to the People: the first, as witnessed in festa del Battesimo di Gesù con la consegna del Pater ai delegati delle Unità Pastorali; il secondo, che sarà compiuto dai parroci e dagli animatori della Missione, con la consegna del Libro delle benedizioni a tutte le famiglie e ai diversi componenti della comunità cristiana.

Il Libro delle benedizioni I hope you can reach all families - encourage the practice of reading appreciative of life and lead us to share with our brothers the hymn of thanksgiving to the Father for what he always gives us.

"In line with the prayer" Our Father "that was delivered, I still recall a passage from the Gospel according to Matthew that can help us live the People's Mission. Here is the text:

"Jesus entered the temple and drove out all who sold and bought in the temple, he overturned the tables of money changers and the benches of those selling doves, and said:" It is written: My house shall be called a house of prayer. But you do it a den of thieves ". Approached him in the temple, the blind and lame, and he healed them. But the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things he had done and the children crying in the temple, "Hosanna to the Son of David!" They were indignant, and said, "Do you hear what they say?". Jesus replied, 'Yes! Have you never read: From the mouth of children and infants you have drawn praise for you? ". He left them and went out of the city to Bethany, and there spent the night "(Mt 21.12-17).

"Next to the temple to be purified and hospitable house of prayer, there is a need for another house. But you have to get out of the city "Jesus came out of the city to Bethany, and spent the night there." We can say that Bethany is the home of friendship, close relations that warm the heart and encourage the rest from the fatigue of the journey. This home allows us to experience the mutual acceptance and the fragility of living, and prevents you from being overwhelmed by fear of life experienced during the crossing when the waves rock the boat.

"Let us not forget that the Christian message of the first century it spread through homes similar to that of Bethany, by meeting people in community areas motivated by friendship, by that brotherly love, sharing the Word and prayer. These are called domus ecclesiae, home assembly or house church. The Acts of the Apostles and the Letters of St. Paul offer a valuable record of these spaces and church family in which both shared the experience of faith in Christ is life's experiences in the fraternal relationship, through dialogue, reflection, prayer . The domus ecclesiae of the first Christians held together three tables, the bread of the Word, the bread of the Eucharist, the bread of friendship and charity. But the three loaves are but one loaf: Christ gives himself to us to be "the Way, the Truth and the Life" (Jn 14, 6). On these house churches are inaugurated a new way of being human and being human society, feeling that all brothers free because children of one Father and full members of the same family called the Church of God. It was inaugurated in this way, a new style of family life, social and moral, a new life based on " faith in God with a human face" , that once welcomed and accepted, brought "joy to the world " (Benedict XVI, Address to the Congress of Verona in Hope for Italy )

"But, beyond the experience of the domus ecclesiae the past, in part related to the difficulty of public expression of Christian faith, today's situation - with the anonymity of mass and the fragmentation of life, with the exaggerated individualism - invokes the return of small community spaces in homes, families, neighborhoods, blocks of flats where people live: it is right there can share God's Word and life experiences. These small communities, such as house churches can be like the yeast that leavens the whole lump (cf. 1 Cor 5:6) and make a turn to the pastoral mission of our Church of Piacenza-Bobbio (...)".

THREE GRANTS. We have already mentioned that in the second year of the popular Mission Diocesan identified three areas to see and experience the Christian life on the indications given by the Bishop. These three documents were presented in the order by Don Paul Walker (relationships and emotions), by Don Gigi Bavagnoli (Fragility) and Enrico Corti (citizenship).

on these three texts the Assembly, divided into working groups, made practical suggestions: we need from domestic relations, the first stage of the analysis must take the start from the Parish Pastoral Councils and pastoral unit, pay attention to the environment in which there is another, from the blessing of family, commitment continues to rediscover the reality of things, organizing a big event only if it is the conclusion of a journey, take the Church's social doctrine with renewed attention to the world of work, promote the comparison between Christians involved in politics ... These are some indications emerged from the work group whose synthesis was coordinated by Pierre Triani, secretary of the Pastoral Council.

THE OPINION OF THE BISHOP. In closing Mgr. Ambrosio said that the tools presented in the Assembly, though not exhaustive of the many problems of today, are useful to build the community's commitment to Piacenza, and right next to the tools, however, is necessary to have a vision that must be prophetic and attentive to everyday life and history within which we move. Finally, the people: in this regard the Bishop had words of thanks for all operators starting from the staff of the Office for the Pastoral Care.

Bishop Ambrosio had previously expressed his gratitude, before the assembly, including Msgr. Lino Ferrari and Msgr. Joseph Illica for new assignments in which they are called.

The Bishop also stressed the role of the laity, but the theme was announced to come back tomorrow, Sunday, Feb. 20, the day when the diocesan Catholic Action held its elective assembly (Bishop Ambrosio will preside at the Mass in the cathedral 12:15).
